We’re delighted to welcome two outstanding students to the Naval Documents of the American Revolution (NDAR) team this semester: Eve Heidenry and Audrey Miracle. Both bring strong intellectual curiosity and a deep interest in Revolutionary-era history, and we’re excited to see their work develop within the project.

Eve Heidenry is a third-year student at the University of Virginia, double-majoring in History and Politics. Her interests lie in Franco-American relations and legal history—two areas central to understanding the global and constitutional dimensions of the American Revolution. Eve is currently working on cataloging letters within the NDAR digital platform, helping to expand and refine our open-access resources. She is also eager to contribute to research connected with the Prize Papers project, which offers important transatlantic insights into maritime conflict, commerce, and diplomacy during the Revolutionary era.

Audrey Miracle is a first-year student at UVA planning to major in History and Environmental Thought & Practice. She brings a long-standing interest in colonial American history and a strong enthusiasm for public-facing historical work. Audrey is currently researching the Battle of Rhode Island and its implications for the Franco-American alliance—an episode that highlights the naval, diplomatic, and political complexity of the war at sea. Her work will contribute directly to NDAR’s ongoing efforts to interpret the Revolution as both an Atlantic and global conflict.

We’re thrilled to have Eve and Audrey join the NDAR team and look forward to the contributions they’ll make as they gain hands-on experience in digital scholarship, archival research, and maritime history.
